USC Editora. CELE (Cuadernos de Español como Lengua Extranjera)

USC Editora is a commercial imprint of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Created in 2009 and registered as a trademark, it hosts a number of publications totally or partially financed by the University Press. For this reason the imprint comes under the service’s own system of peer-review by referees from outside the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. In addition, the imprint has a stable number of internal reviewers who are responsible for the manuscripts’ preliminary evaluation. USC Editora guarantees the quality of all the works published under its brand and is committed to editorial excellence.

USC Editora imprint is certified with the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 standards by the company registration of the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification (AENOR).

USC Editora. CELE (Cuadernos de Español como Lengua Extranjera) is a proposal for teaching and learning Spanish at university level. Its methodological approach aspires to be as dynamic as it is rigorous. The different series within the collection (cinema, music, vocabulary, etc.) suggest practical activities in harmony with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Council of Europe, 2001) and the Plan curricular del Instituto Cervantes. Niveles de referencia para el español (Instituto Cervantes, 2007). The series is intended for independent users, that is, learners at the intermediate and upper-intermediate levels (B1 and B2). The series has its own management team, which makes a selection of possible publications from the proposals that it receives, independently of their subsequent evaluation by referees from outside the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. CELE is open to researchers from all universities, though for obvious financial reasons it gives priority to manuscripts from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.
