Types of resources

Our digital bookshop has four types of resources:

  • Print-format books: these are delivered, after the order, at a maximum time of 48 hours. See the shipping conditions.
  • Digital books free of charge: they are resources that can be read and downloaded with no need to register with the bookshop, because they are open access.
  • Digital books to rent: they are resources that can be rented by making a purchase at the bookshop and, once purchased, are accessible during a maximum period of 15 days. These resources can be read online or downloaded.
  • Digital books on sale: they are resources that are bought at the bookshop and they will always be accessible for reading online or downloading by the user.

Reading online (rent or sale)

1. Identify yourself at the bookshop through the link Sign in.

2. Create a new account or, if you already have an account, enter your user data to log in to your account:

3. Carry out the process of purchase or payment for rent or sale.

4. Access to the user panel by clicking on your user name and, inside the panel, on LIBRARY.

5. Select the book you want to read and click on READ ONLINE.

6. The book is opened in the browser for being read online.

Offline reading (rent or sale)

  • Rent or sale at the bookshop allows reading offline, although the first download must be made with a connection to the Internet.
  • It is necessary to create an account in Adobe to be able to read the books with DRM (Digital Rights Management). DRM is the system employed by the publishers to protect works from unauthorized copies.
  • The first time you wish to read a book offline, you have to follow these steps:

1. In case you do not already have one, you must create an account in Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/es.

 2. Select the Adobe reading app with DRM (Adobe Digital Editions).

3. Download and install Adobe Digital Editions.

4. Set up Adobe Digital Editions with your Adobe account.

5. Select the option DOWNLOAD in the menu LIBRARY from the user panel.

6. A file is downloaded with the extension acsm that is opened with Adobe Digital Editions (after clicking on download, Windows already identifies by default the app). The book is included in the Adobe Digital Editions library and can already be read.
