Kátaba

Kátaba is a collection intended for a wide and international audience, belonging not only to the academic community, but also to the community of fans of medieval time and culture. It publishes works, both original and translated, related to the Middle Ages, a concept understood in its primary sense of chronological range, but also as a field of studies in which disciplines traditionally framed in the fields of archeology, history, art history and philology converge.

Kátaba publishes texts written in any of the languages used in the academic community (Galician, Spanish, French, English, Italian, Portuguese). Works are published in print format as well as in digital format.

The collection includes both the publication of collective works and monographs of sole authorship. The works can have a markedly academic or more informative character, without neglecting to contemplate those with eminently didactic or teaching intentions, as long as they are constituted in synthesis around a theme.

The Kátaba editorial board consists of an editorial committee and a scientific committee. The task of the first is the reception of originals, a first evaluation of the viability of their publication and, in the event that there is a positive report in this regard, the election of two international evaluators, specialists in the field of knowledge of the proposed work, to read, consider and comment on the work. This evaluation is based on the anonymity of the process. The editorial committee will take into consideration the judgments of the scientific committee to continue the publication process.
