Biblioteca de la Cátedra de Cultura Cubana "Alejo Carpentier"

Collection created in 2000 at the initiative of professor Yolanda Novo. At the time, and until volume 6, she directed the Cátedra that gave the collection its name and that is currently directed by professor Ana Chouciño. The aim of the collection is to channel the dissemination of research, in and out of the university, focusing on Cuban and Hispanic-Cuban culture with links to the Humanities and the Social Sciences. All the titles in the collection, regardless of the origin (Cuban or not) of the manuscripts, are selected according to the criteria of quality, scientific rigour and bibliographical interest. To this end they are recommended by an editorial board composed of renowned scholars from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and by an advisory board of respected specialists from the Universidad de La Habana. The collection has an editorial board made up of university researchers of recognized academic and scientific standing. They advise the director about the approval for publication of the submissions that fall within their respective fields of knowledge. Collection in progress.
