La expresión pronominal de sujeto y objetos en español: Estudio con datos conversacionales

This volume offers a study on the use of Spanish personal pronouns in contexts where they are not always obligatory, since they co-occur with an affixal copy attached to the verb. The study relies on data from several corpora, mainly from one consisting wholly of oral samples, most of them conversational. In addition to a quantitative analysis of the data, two chapters are devoted to explore the incidence of certain informational and pragmatic aspects in the phenomenon under analysis. The present piece of research shows that pronominal expression in Spanish is a complex phenomenon, which depends on different factors, among which are the semantic (person) and syntactic (function) features of the units studied.
