This document presents the book of abstracts of the XXIV European Association of Fisheries Economists Conference (EAFE). The conference, organised by the Fisheries and Natural Resource Economics research group of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) ECOPESCA, was held on 2-4 April 2019 at the USC (Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain). It hosted around 75 national and international fisheries economics researchers from the most influential fisheries economics research centres and universities. During the meeting, some of the most relevant topics in fisheries management were discussed, such as the blue economy, the commercialisation of fishery resources, the assessment and management of fishery resources, the role of aquaculture in the supply of fish protein or the management of artisanal fisheries at European level. This document is a compilation of the interventions made by the participants during the conference, including the abstracts of the research presented. The book aims to be a reference guide to some of the most important advances in the field of fisheries economics, presenting an overview of the state of the art in this area of knowledge.
